The "Ebonics" Plague

When America actually had to decide whether or not they were going to make "Ebonics" an actual language, I didn't know whether to laugh, be scared or just plain ticked off! Well, I chose to be ticked off. What were the people in charge of education thinking?! Did they not get the memo that English was the national language of America? I guess somewhere along the way, somebody must have told them, because Ebonics never made it into the school curriculum. However, I find myself being almost as ticked off today anyway, because although it never made it into the classrooms as a subject, it still seems to be an acceptable way of speaking.
"Yo, Yo, Dude, Wazup? Gunna chill in da pad wiz da homies an' tag on the blizzies! Yeaaah, gonna tap dat snizzle". Can anyone translate that for me? Unfortunately, I'm sure there are at least a hundred elementary through high school age kids that can. When did this become acceptable? Had my parents ever heard something like that come out of my mouth growing up, they probably would have paid big bucks to send me to a professional speech therapist. And I wouldn't have blamed them one bit.
When I hear children of any age speaking in such a manner it actually makes my skin crawl. English has been the language of this country since its founding. When I grew up it was a subject in school that needed to be passed in order to be promoted to the next grade. We weren't allowed to speak improper English and if we did, we were corrected by the nearest standing adult.
I'm not sure who made all the rules of the English language. What I do know is that we learned them at an early age and we stuck to those rules. It's not to say that we don't still make mistakes when trying to speak proper English, we do. However, even when those mistakes are made, whether in speaking or writing, the majority of people with even half of a decent education understand what is being said and doesn't need an illiterate person to translate for them.
Ebonics, as far as my opinion goes, isn't a sign of expression. It's a sign of an uneducated generation. We need to stop dumbing down America and go back to the ways of old.

Spewing Venom

Wow, where to even begin?? I know. I will start by telling you that I can be real bitchy. No, not because of the fact that I am a woman but, because of the fact that I am an intelligent woman whose been provoked. As a registered voter, I vote for two reasons: first, because I want someone in office who is going to work in the best interest of me and mine. Second, because it's my right.

I didn't vote for Mayor "Mumbles" Menino.
I certainly didn't vote for Dip-Shit Deval Patrick.
And, God knows, I sure as hell didn't vote for that Socialist/Commi Bastard Obama!

If I had my way: Michael Flaherty would be Mayor, John Ciccone would be Governor and Sarah Palin would be President. (My dogs are better candidates for President than Barry!)

In November I will have the opportunity to exercise my right to vote again. I won't get to vote for a new Mayor and I won't get to vote for a new President. But I will have the golden opportunity to vote for new Representatives.  Any one who agrees with this piece of shit bill they're trying to call Health Care "Reform" will get my vote when hell freezes over. And for those already in the House who do not vote AGAINST this Bill will NEVER get a vote from me. I've already written to my Congress Reps and let them know how I feel. I wish everyone would do the same. However, with the exception of Senator Scott Brown, I really don't believe they give a rat's ass what anyone has to say. If they did, maybe we wouldn't have to worry about whether or not we'll be choking down this Bill by week's end.

Although I'm loving the thought of some new voices standing up for me, I'm really pissed off that it will be too late for new Reps to do anything about the Health Care Reform Bill that Obama and his off the freaking wall, dingbat leftist liberal assholes want to ram down our throats this week!! The one that I'm sure will never apply to them!!!

Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, Andy Stern, SEIU, the President himself!......Oh my F****** good stars!!!! The people that nightmares are made of. Except these nightmares are reality! When I was younger and my nightmares were made up of monsters and boogy-men, I would wake up terrified, but after a couple of minutes, the fear would go away, because I knew it wasn't real. Now, it's not until I wake up that the fear actually begins.

Turn on Fox News on any given day, especially during an episode of Glenn Beck, and within 15 minutes time you will start to believe the end of the world, as we know it, is coming. Oh wait, that wouldn't be the end of the world coming....just the end of America. If Obama, Andy Stern, Pelosi and the likes get their way, we will just be "One World Government".  Hello??? "One World Government"??? How well does the name Hitler run off your tongue? Does the word Communism roll off of it any better? If you agree with these (pick your most derogative, profane term here), I hope you learn how to let these words slide off your tongue with ease, because you will need them!

I'm starting to ask myself, really, what exactly is the difference between Hitler and Obama, with the exception of the fact that Hitler was actually better at brainwashing? (Many Americans are starting to see the light.) Hitler killed thousands upon thousands. Some quickly and some were made to suffer unbearable torture and die a slow, painful death. Obama? Check. With this bullshit healthcare "reform" how many people will die quickly and how many of us will just endure the torture of it all? Obama is not going to kill us one by one. He's going to just try and masacre the country as a whole. Personally, it makes my blood boil just to hear his name. To see his face on my T.V. is even worse. His voice goes right through me! I can't remember anyone ever making me seethe the way he can in just a matter of seconds. Yet, I have no choice but to endure it, because I have to listen to everything he isn't saying and I have to dissect what he does say so I can read between the lines. Between the lines is the only place to find any truth in any Obama speech.

After all is said and done, I understand that not all Democrats are Socialists or Communist (Although I believe 100% that our President is). I understand that not all Republicans are as conservative as they would like us to believe. What I'm starting not to understand is how the hell you tell the difference anymore.

Anyone for TEA? I'll see you there!

GOD BLESS AMERICA!!
(And please do it quickly as Obama's not up for re-election until 2012).

“That Special Something”

“That Special Something”

Every once in a great while, if we are really lucky, we meet a person who leaves us with the feeling of “Wow!, I’m really blessed to know this person.” You feel it from the first time you meet them. They just have that special something about them. You don’t know at first glance what that special something is, but you know it’s something that makes you feel like you want to spend more time with them and get to know them, so you can find out exactly what that special something is. Such is the case with Attorney Ryan M. Spitz. I first met Ryan when I went to volunteer for Michael Flaherty’s Mayoral Campaign. I asked what I could do to help and was introduced to Ryan. After spending only five minutes with Ryan, I knew I was in for a busy, but enjoyable journey. I spent the next seven months helping Michael Flaherty by working directly with Ryan. The Flaherty Committee on a whole, was filled with some of the nicest people you would ever want to know and I came away from the experience with some great new friends, but I have to say of all the great impressions made on me by these people, none compare to the impression that Ryan has made on me. As I stated, it took only five minutes in Ryan’s company to know I was about to become totally engrossed in this campaign. My very first impression of Ryan was “Ok, here’s a guy who is pretty damn intense.” At first I thought maybe his intensity came from his desire to try and push Michael to a Mayoral victory, but we all had that desire, so I assumed it had to be more than just that. I learned shortly thereafter that it was definitely more than the desire we all shared. Soon after I started working at the Committee, I learned that Ryan was waiting on his BAR exam results. This was the second time he‘d sweated out the wait. If he had been anyone else, I probably would have thought “No chance, better luck next time. Third time’s the charm.”, but like I said, there was something that set Ryan apart from most people. I knew deep down that he was going to pass. I just knew it. Not a doubt in my mind, even though at that point I hadn’t known him long at all. I told him I would say a prayer for him, which I did, but I really didn’t believe he was going to need one. A couple of weeks working next to him, I knew he was the type of person who was going to succeed in anything he attempted to do. And he did. He passed the BAR, which any lawyer knows, is not an easy task. Very shortly after that, Ryan and I had lunch together and I learned first hand exactly why he didn‘t have to “Try, Try Again“: He’s extremely intelligent! That’s not to say that anyone who doesn’t pass it the first or second time isn’t intelligent, it’s just that along with the intelligence that Ryan holds, he also possesses qualities such as extreme diligence. He also has this amazing ability to be able to listen, retain and redistribute information while at the same time collecting more information. I personally believe he has been able to take the definition of multi-tasking to a whole new level. On any given day at the Committee, I don’t believe Ryan was ever only working on one task. Although he delegated work to me, I know it was only a smidgen of what he was holding on his own plate. Unfortunately, we all know that Michael Flaherty did not win his election. And although some of us are still not over it, and may not be for at least 4 more years, we have all had to try to get back to a life that makes some sense to us. For many months Ryan did nothing but eat, sleep and breathe Flaherty work (except maybe to take his dog, Lexi, for a walk up Castle Island and even then he was probably thinking Flaherty), so I imagined it might be a little more difficult for him to readjust than some of us. I should have known better than to underestimate him! He’s a man who has all the skills he will ever need to succeed. He’s smart, funny, charming, kind, generous, dedicated, fun, savvy, positive, honest, determined, and he’s motivated like no one I’ve ever met. All the while being humble even though he has much to pat himself on the back for. And I can personally guarantee he will never be “called out” for a lack of common sense. He’s got the whole package. Even knowing all this, it still didn’t stop my jaw from dropping the day he told me he opened his own law firm!! Who does that within the first year of obtaining their license?! A person in possession of what it takes to do so. That’s who. And Ryan is one of the special few who do. I don’t think I could have been any happier for him than I was and still am. I am so unbelievably proud to be able to say I had the opportunity to work next to him for all those months. I am also proud that now I get to call him a friend, because he has been that much of an inspiration to me. And in the future I’m sure I will be proud to call him my attorney. He’s a man who charged full speed ahead to get back into the game we call reality. However, now Ryan’s reality comes with a new name: Law Firm of Ryan M. Spitz (General Practitioner). I, like the rest of the world, never would have believed there was such a thing as an honest lawyer. Like you, I believed you couldn’t put the words honest and lawyer in the same sentence without it being an oxymoron, but Ryan has changed that for me as he will for you. I’m here to tell you that if you need a lawyer, you need to look no further than the Law Firm of Ryan M. Spitz!  I’d bet you a dollar to a donut that once you spend just five minutes with him, you’ll know you made the right choice. And after those first five minutes, you  will believe, as I do, that it really is true: Every once in a while, if we are really lucky, we meet a person who leaves us with the feeling of “Wow!, I’m really blessed to know this person.” Even if we never believed before that this person could ever be an Attorney. So, if you find yourself in need of an attorney who is going to work to the best of his ability on your behalf instead of his own personal agenda, You can reach Attorney Spitz at Ryanspitzlaw@gmail.com or by calling him directly at 617-594-7025.

A Whole New Year...God Willing!

Happy New Year! So 2010 is here and some of us have made resolutions. Some of us have not. And some of us have made resoutions that we have every intention of keeping but won't, and then there are those of us with so much will power we will keep our resolutions no matter what. Some of us will vow to exercise and lose weight. Some of us will vow to quit drinking or smoking. Some of us will try to have a better attitude or not be so selfish. Some of us will try to make mass every week or some of us will just vow to be better people. Me, I've made a few resolutions. Maybe I'll keep them, maybe I won't. What I will do is try. If I keep them, great. If not, well it's not the end of the world. One resolution that I do plan on keeping though and it won't take any will power is to keep my communication with God open. With all that is going on in the world today, I know I'm going to need Him more than ever before. So each day I will thank Him for all the blessings I have in my life such as family, health and friends. And each day I will ask him to watch over me and all my loved ones. And because I am only one person, I will ask Him to give more people the common sense to pay closer attention to what's going on in politics today, especially at the White House. I will give praise and thanks every day, because at the rate we are going in this great country at the moment, I fear there may come a day when I am no longer allowed to give thanks to my Maker. My God. I will give thanks that right now we have a Constitution to live by even if some politicians like to make like it doesn't exist or it's ok to try and change it. I will pray that there is some major change in 2010 and all the far left liberals are thrown out of office and the "Right" people are elected in their place. I will pray that those who are voting for Obamacare will come to their senses and see what a disaster the plan actually is. I will do what I can to help by voting for people such as Michael McGee for State Rep. and Scott Brown for US Senate. I will help by spreading the word that there are people out there like Glenn Beck, Bill O'Reilly (Fox News) and John Ciccone (South Boston Tribune), just to name a few, who are willing to fill you in with the truthful facts about what is going on in our nation. I will help by praying for those who do not pray. For those who don't see that without God's help...we are going to be in a world of trouble and chaos. May God bless us all and may God Bless the USA! And for my son's benefit and amusement, a special prayer that Joe Schmoe Dirtback goes on a permanent vacation!

Please Forgive Me

First I want to apologize for one mistake I made in my last blog. I stated that Democrats shouldn't bother reading it, because they couldn't appreciate it. Thinking it over, I realize that's not quite true. I have many friends who are Democrats. Some even running for offices. I will even vote for them. The Democrats I was referring to are the Democrats who stand on the far left. Does the name Ben Nelson ring a bell? Someone should hit him with a bell. The LIBERTY BELL preferably. I hear his name and I cringe. He is the perfect example of a sellout! If he wasn't a senator in Nebraska, I might actually think about moving there! He should be offered to be the Host of Let's Make A Deal! If yesterday's storm and all that shoveling wasn't scary and depressing enough, we wake up this morning to a nightmare of much higher proportions! The Democrats got the 60 votes to advance their Health Care Reform Bill. I said "got" their votes. I meant "bought" thier votes. Obama sees this as a victory. I'd have thought he was kidding, but it is a victory. It's just a personal victory. It's not an American victory. More than half of the American people are against this bill. Maybe that's why it was rushed through the Senate at the ungodly hour of 1Am. Somebody take the writing utensils away from that idiot! In fact take all the pens and paper away from the whole Democratic side. Hand the President a  Dictionary instead. He needs to look up the word "Promise". I know previous Presidents have made promises they didn't keep, but Obama has only been in office a year and has yet to keep one! Unless he's made promises to the enemy. Seems like he's keeping those. Say goodbye to your rights, one by one. By the time the anti-christ is done, we won't have any left. Can anybody tell me exactly which of the Democratic Senators has read that entire Bill? I think the only amusement I get is when I watch the commercial with the "commoners" saying how wonderful this Bill is! OK, so they are everyday John and Jane Doe's making a few extra bucks for making a commercial. I hope they made quite a few extra bucks, because if this Bill goes through, they are going to need it to pay their high priced health care premiums!! Especially the woman holding the child as she boasts about how wonderful the bill is. She'll be paying double because of the child! And no, the deficit isn't going down with this bill, it's going to set us back trillions of dollars. Not billions, but TRILLIONS!! I find it humorous that the people in Nebraska believe this is going to work for them, because they're tax dollars aren't paying for it, the rest of the country picks up their tab. Don't they realize they WILL be paying for it? This bill is going to suck the life out of what's left of the economy. They do still depend on the economy in Nebraska don't they? And not to mention, this bill goes into effect in 4 years. Pay now and receive the benefits in 4 years?? Yeah ok.
